Project Description

Client:

Lyttelton Port Company

Project Value:

$87 million

The project involved the demolition of the existing earthquake damaged timber piled wharf and rebuild of a new 230m steel pile and concrete deck wharf structure and associated pavement apron, all within the operating Lyttelton Container Terminal.  The project also included the re-fendering of adjacent Cashin Quay 3 and 4 wharves.  Major project complexities have stemmed from the condition of the reclamation as a result of the 2010 and 2011 Canterbury Earthquakes.

We were engaged to provide support in analysing tenders and making recommendations for the 23m wharf contract.  Following on from this we provided a full post-contract quantity surveying service for this project.
