Lyttelton Port Company
$75 million NZD
The project involves the demolition of the existing earthquake damaged timber piled wharf and rebuild of a new 230m steel pile and concrete deck wharf structure and associated pavement apron, all within the operating Lyttelton Container Terminal. The project also includes re-fendering of adjacent Cashin Quay 3 and 4 wharves. Major project complexities have stemmed from the condition of the reclamation as a result of the 2010 and 2011 Canterbury Earthquakes.
WT Partnership Infrastructure were engaged to provide support in analysing tenders and making recommendations for the 23m wharf contract. WTP also reviewed the Contractor’s price for the 34m design including assessing the pricing using first principles estimating. WTP continue to provide Post Contract services including Payment Recommendations, Financial Reports and review of variations.
