Auckland $70 million and Wellington $120 million

As part of the Auckland Electrification Project (AEP) program a series of bridge replacement / track lowering projects were undertaken to facilitate the required clearances for overhead catenary installations.

Our role included full cost management and reporting on the bridge replacement projects at Manurewa, Church Street, Clevedon Road and Mt Wellington Highway.

We also acted in an advisory capacity for the main electrification project installations of overhead line equipment and the electrification bridge screens across the network.

The Wellington Metro Upgrade Project (WMUP) included:

  • Stabilising slopes
  • The Kapiti Line – replacing aging infrastructure
  • The Hutt Valley Line – signalling system upgrades
  • The Johnsonville Line – significant upgrade work
  • The Wairarapa Line – renewing signals power supply system.

We  provided full quantity surveying services including cost estimates, tender services, and post-contract financial management.

The Wellington Traction Overhead Service Renewals (WTOSR) project involved the upgrade to the Redwood to Muri Electrical Overhead Wiring corridor of the Wellington rail network, following our previous involvement in the WMUP project.

We provided cost estimating, tender support and post-contract services to KiwiRail for this project.
