Project Description

Client:

Lyttelton Port Company Ltd

Project Value:

$19.5 million

This new build project included the construction of new offices and operations facilities for the Lyttelton Port Company comprising approximately 2800m² of gross floor area.  The works included the construction of a new triple storey steel framed concrete building with glazed curtain walling, profiled aluminium and pre-cast concrete facades.

The spaces include reception areas, offices, a café area, changing rooms, an operations control room, a boardroom, meeting rooms, bathrooms, as well as the requisite external and landscaping works.

Located on the waters edge, the new promenade along the front of the building is part of the everyday commute for port workers and provides a popular, scenic place for lunch breaks, engaging a wealth of people with the harbour like never before.

We were responsible for the preparation of concept design, preliminary design, developed design and pre-tender estimates (utilizing BIM models).  Schedules of quantities were prepared, and monthly financial reports and payment recommendations were prepared and submitted detailing all changes to each cost centre and any spend in the period against contingency and/or escalation allowances.  We also provided full post-contract services and prepared depreciation schedules.
