Manukau Institute of Technology, Train Station Campus

In 2010 we were engaged to provide full quantity surveying services for the design and construction of the new Manukau Campus for MIT.  The project is a Joint Venture between MIT and Auckland Transport to provide a modern and future-proofed tertiary educational facility and integrated transport hub in the heart of South Auckland.

The 13,000m2 campus was designed to house up to 5,000 students and 120 staff mainly relocated from MIT’s Faculty of Business and Information Technology and to cater for newly established courses in Business Administration, Travel and Tourism.

The School of Logistics, English and Foundation Education also moved into the Manukau Campus.

The project also included retail outlets, commercial tenancies, and 2,250 seat performance theatre and a link to Auckland Transport’s operational Manukau Station.

We provided full quantity surveying services including cost planning, schedule of quantities, construction cost management, fitout cost management, stakeholders reports and final account resolution.
