The ground and buildings were redeveloped following the earthquakes and now serves as the venue for provincial and international rugby union and league matches, and outdoor arena concerts and shows.

This stylish building is nestled amongst the trees in Hagley Park. Following the series of Canterbury earthquakes, the existing building required earthquake repair and structural strengthening works, including sub-floor grouting and re-levelling, together with Business-As-Usual refurbishment including new roof coverings, exterior glazed joinery, internal joinery, finishes and electrical and fire services upgrades.

Auckland City and Jacobsen Venue Management combined forces in a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) scheme to provide a world class indoor sports and entertainment venue.

The redevelopment of Eden Park Stadium for the 2011 Rugby World achieved Practical Completion in August 2010.  The project included a three tier South Stand which includes the main players changing facilities, 52 corporate boxes, hospitality lounges, public concourses, commentary and broadcast suites and seating for 21,500.
