Oji Fibre Solutions is a leading producer of market pulp, paper, and fibre-based packaging for local and global markets with the majority of their operations based in New Zealand.  

Oji invested in a new 36,000m2 purpose-built facility in Hornby, Christchurch comprising of a manufacturing space, warehouse / storage areas, offices, support areas, amenities, covered loading and service areas.

This award highlights the project’s innovative construction, which managed complex logistical challenges and integrated advanced manufacturing technology to meet growing demand for sustainable packaging.

How WT SUPPORTED project sakura

We provided full quantity surveying services.

Considering the Design and Build Contract, we worked in conjunction with the contractor from the early stages, reviewing and estimating all design information as it became available to identify and understand the risks for Oji.

During post contract, we continued to work closely with the contractor to keep our cost brackets and controls aligned in order to keep Oji well informed through financial reporting and monthly cost meetings.

Winner of the Stormwater Superhero Award from the Christchurch West Melton Water Management Zone Committee

This award celebrated the site’s environmental management systems, which ensure the safe containment and treatment of stormwater and other potential contaminants.
