Our transaction management services focusses on helping our private and public sector Clients with the sale and purchase of infrastructure and building assets through technical due diligence activities.  We also help our Clients understand the technical viability and associated risk profile of projects in early development to allow financiers/lenders to make appropriate provisions within their broader evaluation of potential lending/funding arrangements.  In the public sector, we provide specialist input in relation to the appraisal of investment options, in terms of both program and projects, using The Treasury Better Business Case framework.

In addition to supporting our Clients reach appropriate outcomes in relation the securing funding and/or financing projects and asset purchases, we also have significant experience and expertise developing and advancing procurement strategies in relation to construction contracts as well as providing ongoing procurement support bringing tenders to market, tender evaluation, and contract formation processes.

We are well placed to provide up-front advice to our clients to ensure that project’s financing agreements are based on sound technical due diligence.  In collaboration with our technical partners, we help our Clients with the technical appraisal of physical assets as part of the overall sale and purchase process, as well as providing assurance to lenders who are considering financing a construction project.  Our understanding of asset costs and project finances means that we understand what technical aspects have materiality and are therefore able to focus technical due diligence activities, highlighting key risks and asset limitations that can be factored into the overall appraisal and transaction process.

Because both organisations and projects vary in size and complexity, it is important that the approach to procurement incorporates this variability and identifies the optimal solution.  Our advisors work with Clients to map out the project success factors, understand scope and scale, as well as understand the supplier market at any given time, so that the right procurement structure, and contract vehicles can be deployed.

We are well positioned to support the development of all business cases within Treasury’s Better Business Case framework, across the complete investment lifecycle.  Our core business in cost management and cost engineering, coupled with our team of facility management, asset management and capital works advisors, means that we have a full understanding of the individual components that need to be considered and developed as part of producing a robust business case.  In addition, we have risk specialists who are able to continuously advance the understanding of an investments risk profile from the initial RPA through to more detailed risks identified during design development and the detailed business case.
