This stylish building is nestled amongst the trees in Hagley Park. Following the series of Canterbury earthquakes, the existing building required earthquake repair and structural strengthening works, including sub-floor grouting and re-levelling, together with Business-As-Usual refurbishment including new roof coverings, exterior glazed joinery, internal joinery, finishes and electrical and fire services upgrades.
The Atrium can comfortably accommodate 20 to 200 attendees in a range of attractive rooms, all with private balconies and terraces overlooking the park. The building lends itself to Club events as well as personal celebrations, from private dinners and parties to lavish weddings. The building also houses administration offices, a physiotherapy clinic and a catering business.
With the refurbishment project completed on time and within budget, our responsibilities included the preparation of budgets and monitoring costs of non-construction related items such as fixtures, fittings & equipment, temporary works, professional fees, communications and marketing and development costs. Monthly financial reports and payment recommendations were prepared and submitted detailing all changes to each cost centre and any spend in the period against contingency and/or escalation allowances.
