Project Description

Client:

Canterbury District Health Board

Project Value:

$7.5 million

Rangiora Health Hub was a three stage development: –

Stage One included: in-ground works for Stage Two.

Stage Two was a new build single storey maternity based hospital which included antenatal assessment rooms, birthing suites, post-natal ward rooms, flexi-bed ward rooms, lounge spaces, staff facilities, a kitchen, consultation and assessment rooms, and educational facilities.

Stage Three involved severing a portion of the Hagley Outpatients building at Christchurch Hospital, cutting this section into separate parts and transporting the building to Rangiora Health Hub.  Works then involved re-fixing the sections of building together and adjoining to the new Rangiora Health Hub building. Works involved groundworks, piling, partial recladding, reglazing and reroofing, new and altered building services, internal demolition and fit-out to adjust the floor plate to provide consultation and interview, staff offices and education spaces.

We worked closely with Noordanus Architects on this project and provided full quantity surveying services from inception to completion.
