Project Description

Client:

Christchurch City Council

Project Value:

$3 billion (multiple projects)

Following the September 2010 and February 2011 earthquake events in Christchurch, we were appointed to carry out infrastructure rebuild estimates for works including land remediation, roads, bridges, utility services, water treatment and infrastructure assets.

We were then engaged as cost auditors for the newly formed Stronger Christchurch Infrastructure Rebuild Team (SCIRT), and acted for the Client Governance Group which is made up of the funders of the rebuild, being; Christchurch City Council, NZTA and CERA (on behalf of the Crown).

The rebuild was the largest construction project in New Zealand, involving three owner participants, five non-owner participants and numerous design service providers.
