We understand that we are uniquely placed to influence many organisations and building projects on a far greater scale, often where environmental sustainability and community progression may have previously struggled to translate from ideals into actions.
Our broader outcomes initiatives and activities are reviewed annually and are split into three core pillars: Our Community, Our Team, and Environmental Sustainability. We hold ourselves accountable for our commitments by publishing our Annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report.

WT believe we have a responsibility to give back and support the communities we live and work in to deliver sustainable social outcomes. Our CSR committee feel it is important to reflect the interests and initiatives our team are invested in, so every year an employee-wide survey is conducted to inform budget and strategy decisions.
Every year, the CSR committee incorporate the survey results into company financial donations and Time For Good, which is WT’s initiative for employees to take 1/2 day paid leave for volunteering purposes of their choice.
We are proud members of Amotai, which verifies Māori and Pasifika-owned businesses, we use this database for diverse sourcing and procurement within our project work and internally for admin and events.
Economic and environmental outcomes are intricately linked in our modern world, and striking a balance between the two is critical for a sustainable future. We believe that the construction sector plays a significant role in shaping the world we live in, and with that role comes a responsibility to ensure our operations align with environmental stewardship.
WT are focused on helping combat climate change, preserving biodiversity, and protecting vital ecosystems. For example, company flight travel is for essential purposes only and carbon offsetting all flights we do take. WT holds ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems Certification.
We aim to provide a work culture that recognises, respects, values, and enables effective management of all team members so they are supported to thrive at work.
WT's health and wellbeing initiative WT Thrive includes a Balanced Way of Working Policy, leadership support, mental health support, emergency and crisis management support, and more. All team members have access to Medical Insurance, an EAP platform and a Health and Wellbeing platform.
WT’s learning and development initiative, WT Elevate, has also been launched which includes team member reviews and goal-setting, recognition and rewards, and more.
We also offer activities to bring our team together such as virtual fitness walking events, corporate runs, Movember fundraising, mental health initiatives and biannual team-building activities.
At the beginning of each financial year, we establish a new Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. We announce our commitments based on a company-wide survey and hold ourselves accountable by reporting on our efforts at the end of each financial year.
We invite you to read WT New Zealand's most recent Corporate Social Responsibility Annual Report which outlines our activities across our community, environmental sustainability and our team, the three corporate social responsibility pillars.
Quality Assurance is embedded in every stage of our service delivery. We are proud to be globally recognised through ISO accreditation in Quality Management (ISO 9001), Environmental Management (ISO 14001), and Health and Safety (ISO 45001), affirming our dedication to delivering exceptional service whilst prioritising sustainability and safety.
