Greg started work in 1983 in Pretoria, South Africa for a professional QS practice. He was conscripted to the navy where he worked as lead QS. Completing his conscription, he then founded Quantity Surveying Solutions, a professional QS practice in Cape Town. Greg worked with Insurers developing a system of measuring and valuing insurance reinstatements as well as refining the method of pre-construction surveys. He was invited to lecture at the University of Cape Town in building finance and also lectured in construction, architecture and mathematics at the Cape Technikon, before moving to New Zealand. Seeking a change of location, he moved in late 2023 from our Auckland office to our Christchurch office.
Greg’s experience, gained as a result of being on both the contractor and consultant teams, has given him the necessary insight into completing successful projects in an integrated and collaborative manner.
