Associate Director – Infrastructure Quantity Surveying

Jason is an Associate Director at WT with over 20 years of experience in infrastructure project delivery, specialising in estimating, risk management and commercial management. His career began in 2001 as an Engineering Officer at the Bay of Plenty Regional Council, giving him a strong foundation in infrastructure planning and delivery in New Zealand.

In 2004, Jason relocated to London, where he worked for seven years as a Quantity Surveyor on Transport for London’s motorways contract. During this time, he delivered a range of complex infrastructure upgrades across highways, lighting, bridges, tunnels, and footpaths.

Since returning to New Zealand in 2014 and joining WT as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Jason has led teams delivering Quantity Surveying services on major infrastructure programmes. His sector experience spans roading, rail, marine, residential subdivisions, urban streetscapes, public realm, utilities and three waters.

With a background on both the contractor and consultancy sides, Jason offers commercially balanced, practical advice. His leadership at WT centres on driving project performance, fostering collaboration as an integrated team and overseeing deliverables to ensure they are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.

Jason is passionate about delivering value through strategic cost management and contributing to projects that shape communities and infrastructure.
