Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure

Nilupuli joined WT in 2012 after previously working on the Rail Network Growth Impact Management Catchup Renewals, Trentham to Upper Hutt Duplication, and KiwiRail Electrix Maintenance Programme projects for KiwiRail. She has also worked for the Wakatipu Transport Alliance, Christchurch Infrastructure Rebuild (SCIRT), Avon River Precinct, Wawata Estate - Waiheke Island, Glen Innes to Tamaki Shared Path, Emergency Ferry Berth Sea Wall Repair, and a number of streetscape projects. She formerly worked for the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau in Sri Lanka and the Housing Development Corporation in the Maldives. Nilupuli worked on big initiatives for both countries' government organisations.

Nilupuli's experience spans a wide range of civil engineering industries, including civic and cultural, health, residential, pavements, landscaping, arts, and entertainment. She was in charge of preparing estimates and cost analyses for the Tele-Cinema project Stage 1's Film Business Park, Accommodation Villas, Backlots, Studio, Cafeterias, Workshops, Common Facilities, and Landscaping. During 2008, the Maldives government's major project was the development of 504 homes on the reclaimed Island of Hulhumale, to which Nilupuli contributed significantly through progress claims, reports, and timetables.

Nilupuli has demonstrated ability in a variety of areas, including cost validation, BOQ preparation, taking off quantities and scrutinising contractors' complete project reports, progress reports, and project schedules, technical record keeping, and monitoring work. She also has extensive experience with professional software such as CostX, QS 2000, Bluebeam Rev, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and other Microsoft Office products.
